HARDWARIO is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to support
our growing team in Prague
HARDWARIO, an established name in the world of IoT and hardware solutions, is launching a
new strategic division in Prague. As part of building a reliable and agile leadership team, we are
now hiring a Chief Accountant who will take ownership of the entire company’s accounting
agenda, including payroll, taxes, international invoicing, and reporting.

Who we’re looking for

• We’re looking for a senior and self-driven professional with a strong background in full-scope
• accounting and a solid understanding of Czech tax law, payroll, and business operations.
• Ideally, you’ve worked in a manufacturing or logistics company, and you understand what it
• means to deal with incoming materials, stock movements, and finished goods from an
• accounting perspective.
• You should feel comfortable in an international setting - we work with suppliers and
• customers across the globe, handle multi-currency accounts, and regularly deal with foreign
• invoices, exchange rate differences, and international trade conditions (like Incoterms).

Your key responsibilities

• Full responsibility for company accounting in line with Czech accounting standards
• Overseeing and managing payroll accounting in cooperation with HR
• Accounting for inventory movements, material inputs, and finished product outputs
• Handling VAT returns, control reports, tax filings, and communication with Czech
• authorities
• Tracking foreign currency transactions and exchange rate differences
• Understanding and correctly applying Incoterms and international shipping terms for
• accurate cost and revenue recognition
• Managing accounting operations in the system - supporting setup of ERP/accounting
• software
• Preparing monthly and annual closing, financial statements, and audit documentation
• Delivering reliable accounting inputs to the CFO, COO, and board members
• Participating in financial reporting, planning, and business decision-making

What we expect from you

• Degree in accounting, finance, or economics (university or college)
• At least 8–10 years of experience in accounting, including 3+ years as a Chief
• Accountant
• In-depth knowledge of Czech accounting standards and tax regulations
• Hands-on experience with payroll processing and labor-related accounting
• Experience from a manufacturing or logistics company is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and stock movements
• Ability to handle multi-currency transactions and exchange rate accounting
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international invoicing procedures
• Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Pohoda, Helios,
• ABRA, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and also cooperate closely with finance and operations
• teams
• English at B2 level or higher - able to read and understand international
• documentation, communicate with colleagues and partners
