Automation & Electrical Design Engineer – Water Treatment Projects
O pozici
Pracovní nabídka
Grundfos Water Treatment CK&SK is looking for an Automation & Electrical Design Engineer to join our project team in Kolín – Sendražice.
This is not a role where you will spend your days only preparing drawings or maintaining existing systems. You will work across the full project lifecycle – from electrical and automation engineering through project support, commissioning and start-up at customer sites.
You will combine engineering, automation and project management, working on water-treatment technologies and projects across the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.
The role offers a high level of autonomy. We care about delivering a technically correct solution, meeting deadlines and keeping the customer satisfied – how you organise your work is largely up to you.
What you will do
- Design and develop automation and electrical solutions for industrial water-treatment plants
- Prepare and modify electrical wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Support PLC and automation design, including basic work with Siemens SIMATIC TIA Portal
- Work with industrial communication systems such as Modbus, PROFINET and Ethernet/IP
- Work with P&ID documentation and translate process requirements into practical engineering solutions
- Support the implementation of digital and IIoT solutions within water-treatment systems
- Provide technical support during project execution
- Participate in commissioning and start-up at customer sites
- Troubleshoot electrical, automation and control-system issues
- Communicate with customers, suppliers and internal project teams
- Contribute to project planning and technical decision-making
- Prepare and maintain project documentation
- Support the Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle
What we are looking for
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering or a related technical field
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Practical knowledge of electrical engineering and industrial automation
- Experience with electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Understanding of PLC-based control systems
- Basic knowledge of Siemens SIMATIC TIA Portal
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, PROFINET or Ethernet/IP
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs
- Good technical English and the ability to communicate in English in an international engineering environment
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your projects
- Experience with water treatment, RO, EDI, softening, filtration or other process technologies is a strong advantage, but not a requirement.
What you can expect
Engineering with a purpose
You will work on real industrial water-treatment projects where automation and electrical engineering directly affect the performance, reliability and efficiency of the plant.
High autonomy
We are not interested in micromanagement. If the work is done properly, on time and to the required quality, you have significant freedom in how you organize your work.
Engineering + project management
You will not be limited to one technical discipline. You will have the opportunity to develop both your engineering expertise and your project-management skills while working closely with customers and project teams.
International projects
Our projects are delivered across the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, giving you exposure to international customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Grundfos technology
You will work with technologies and solutions from Grundfos Water Treatment, one of the world's leading companies in advanced water-treatment and water-management solutions.
What we offer
Hybrid working model
Company iPhone and Dell laptop
Pension contribution
Meal allowance
International projects and cooperation
Opportunities for professional and technical development
International career opportunities within Grundfos
A technically diverse role combining engineering, automation and project management
A high degree of independence and responsibility
The team
You will become part of a Czech, Slovak and international project team.
Your direct project-management lead is based in Slovakia, while you will work closely with colleagues, customers and partners across the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.
We are looking for someone who doesn't need to be told what to do every hour of the day. If you are technically capable, responsible and like taking ownership of your work, you will have plenty of room to make an impact.
Interested?
If you are an electrical or automation engineer looking for a role where you can combine hands-on engineering, automation, project work and customer interaction, we would like to hear from you.
