About the Role
Carclo Technical Plastics is an international company specialising in the development and manufacture of technical plastic components for medical, pharmaceutical and other industrial sectors.

We are looking for an experienced leader to head our European Innovation, Design & Engineering (IDE) organisation, covering our sites in Brno and Mitcham. As a member of the global IDE Leadership Team, you will contribute to the company’s technical strategy and drive the development of automation and digital transformation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the European Design & Engineering organisation, including people, resources, technical capabilities and performance.
• Support commercial growth through customer engagement, technical feasibility assessments and competitive RFQ proposals.
• Oversee engineering programmes from customer requirements, design and development through industrialisation, qualification and validation to successful Start of Production (SOP).
• Drive the development and practical application of automation, digital technologies, manufacturing data, analytics and AI across engineering and operations.
• Identify emerging technologies and commercially viable solutions to improve engineering effectiveness and manufacturing competitiveness.
• Collaborate with global IDE teams and implement agreed global initiatives across the European region.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in engineering, design, development or a related technical function within an international environment.
• Strong strategic and project management skills, with a focus on delivering results.
• Experience in product development, industrialisation and engineering operations.
• Understanding of automation, digital transformation and data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English and the ability to work effectively across international teams.
