Our integrated platform delivers everything from personal loans to data-driven financial insights, and we’re looking for an experienced Tech Lead to drive the technical direction of our engineering team and help us build the next generation of our products.

Position Overview
As our Tech Lead, you will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will own the architecture and quality of key parts of our platform, guide a team of engineers through design and delivery, and make sure what we build is reliable, secure, and ready to scale. You’ll work closely with product and business stakeholders to turn ideas into well-engineered solutions, in a fast-paced, growing fintech company where your work has a direct, visible impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Define and own the technical direction of your team, including architecture, design decisions, and engineering standards.
• Hands-on Development: Actively contribute code, tackle the most complex technical challenges, and lead by example.
• Team Guidance: Mentor and support engineers, run code reviews, share knowledge, and help team members grow their skills.
• Delivery: Break down product requirements into technical solutions, estimate work, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
• Platform Quality: Improve the performance, scalability, and maintainability of our systems; identify and reduce technical debt.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, the CTO, and other teams to shape the roadmap and balance business needs with technical realities.
• Security & Compliance: Apply best practices in security and data protection, ensuring our solutions meet the regulatory requirements of the financial industry.

Qualifications

• Experience: Several years of professional software development experience, including time in a senior engineer or tech lead role, ideally in fintech or another regulated industry.
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in backend and/or full-stack development, ideally with Node.js and TypeScript, plus solid knowledge of system design and building scalable, distributed systems. Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP and serverless a big plus), APIs, and relational and NoSQL databases.
• Leadership Skills: Experience guiding a team of engineers, setting technical standards, and mentoring others.
• Problem-Solving: A pragmatic approach to complex problems, with the ability to weigh trade-offs and make sound, data-driven technical decisions.
• Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Nice to Have: Experience with React, Python, or Elasticsearch; background in lending or payment systems, credit scoring, or financial regulation (e.g. PSD2, GDPR).
