About the Role

A strong international energy group is expanding its operations in the Czech Republic and is looking for a technically oriented engineer to support the operation and maintenance (O&M) of its existing photovoltaic (PV) assets and contribute to the development of its battery energy storage system (BESS) business.

This role is primarily engineering-focused, with additional responsibilities in BESS sales and business development. It offers an opportunity to combine hands-on technical work with commercial activities in a growing energy storage market.

What You Will Do

• Carry out and coordinate O&M activities for the company’s PV assets in the Czech Republic.
• Monitor plant performance, investigate technical issues, and coordinate troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
• Work with service providers, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and other technical partners to ensure reliable plant operation.
• Support the technical assessment and development of BESS solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) and utility-scale projects.
• Identify potential BESS customers and develop relationships with clients, developers, investors, EPC contractors, and installation partners.
• Present BESS solutions to prospective customers and support sales negotiations and project development.
• Monitor market developments and contribute to achieving the company’s technical and commercial objectives.
• Prepare reports and travel regularly to PV sites and customer locations as required.

What You Should Have

• An engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Relevant technical experience in PV systems, electrical engineering, power systems, industrial equipment, or a related field.
• Practical experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, or O&M of electrical or energy systems.
• A genuine interest in battery energy storage systems and a willingness to develop technical and commercial expertise in this field.
• A positive attitude toward customer-facing activities, sales, and business development.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Fluency in English.
• A proactive, independent, and results-oriented approach.

Additional advantages

• Previous experience in PV or BESS O&M.
• Knowledge of BESS technologies, inverters, power conversion systems, or energy management systems.
• Experience communicating with customers or supporting technical sales.
• An established network in the Czech energy or renewable energy sector.
