Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and update of relevant market Indices
  • Creation of Supplier Profiles
  • Preparation, support, and execution of price and contract negotiations
  • Optimization of the supplier portfolio and ensuring delivery reliability
  • International supplier acquisition, evaluation, and risk management
  • Preparation and update project purchasing reports
  • Decision-making within a steering committee
  • Handling technical changes and resolving supplier escalations from a purchasing perspective
  • Material Setup and Maintenance: Identify and classify materials, define purchasing groups, and maintain info records in SAP, including pricing, supplier data, and delivery terms.
  • BANF Validation: Check requisition data for completeness (e.g., delivery terms, costs, supplier details) and verify offers in SAP for accuracy.
  • Initial invoice review and material setup in the companies ERP-Syptem (e.g. SAP)
  • Ensuring prototype supply through requirements clarification
  • Close collaboration with other departments and work in cross-functional project teams
  • Framework Agreements: Update framework contracts and info records with supplier pricing; ensure open purchase orders are updated.
  • Supplier Management: Handle supplier setup, update master data, and manage ongoing supplier issues.
  • Quotation Management: Request, review, and compare supplier offers; prepare sourcing tables and coordinate with departments to finalize awards.
  • Project Tracking: Monitor project progress and ensure up-to-date status reporting.
  • Traceability: Maintain and organize procurement documents to ensure traceability.
  • Reporting and Data Management: Create reports, refine data, and conduct system checks (e.g., price changes, material alternatives).

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed technical or commercial education with a strong affinity for technology
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing within an international company, ideally in the field of composite materials and automotive
  • Excellent MS Office skills, SAP R/3 knowledge is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, and preferably German written and spoken
  • Strong negotiation skills, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking with a structured and goal-oriented working style
  • Team player with flexibility, high commitment, and willingness to travel (approximately 20%)
