Position overview:
The Accounting Manager at Vetropack Romania is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations. This position plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the overall efficiency of accounting processes.
Key responsibilities:
Perform month-end accounting activities, according to the legislation in force.
Preparation and in-time submission of the tax reports, import, export and re-export documentation, cooperate with tax authorities in case of tax reviews.
Monitor and approve the internal procedures of the company as per group and legal standards.
Preparation and submission of the Statutory and financial statements in accordance with the local (Romanian) and Group requirements.
Monitor the implementation, upgrade, and correct operation of the SAP system in according to the legal requirements and/or Vetropack group requirements.
Monitor the official changes in the reporting requirement and other related legislative changes, reflects in the accounting policy of the company, approves it accordingly (both local and as according to the Group standards) and implements those in due time in the internal procedures.
Participate in the auditing procedures and other control activities, closely collaborate with the external and internal auditors to finalize the auditing procedures in the contracted terms.
Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
Requirements:
University degree in Finance or Accounting; additional qualifications will be considered an advantage.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in Management and Accounting roles, including Chief Accountant positions.
Mandatory experience with SAP implementation and operation.
Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Advanced proficiency in English.
