We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Linux Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining Linux-based environments, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and stability. You will provide L2 support for server operations, manage service requests, and perform critical tasks like system patching and troubleshooting. As a Linux Administrator, you'll be collaborating with team members to resolve issues, document configurations, and contribute to ongoing improvements.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in system administration with a customer-focused approach.
While not mandatory, experience with automation, or database management is an added advantage.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based environments (Red Hat, Oracle Linux).
• Provide L2 support for server operations, handling incidents and managing service requests.
• Perform system patching to ensure security and compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain system performance, stability, and security.
• Provide detailed analysis of system defects as and when required.
• Handle basic database administration for My SQL.
• Document system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Work within an Agile framework .
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Linux Administrator in a production environment.
• Expertise in Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Oracle Linux).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with My SQL database management for to perform basic commands
• Practical experience with scripting languages such as Bash.
• Understanding of ITIL frameworks and relevant certifications.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as SaltStack, Zabbix for future migration.
• Experience managing web services like Apache Tomcat.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols (LDAP, network setup).
