The GROUP DATA INSIGHTS DIRECTOR leads the organization’s data-driven decision-making agenda, focusing on delivering actionable intelligence and customer-centric analytics. This role is responsible for defining and operationalizing a unified measurement framework that connects business performance, customer behavior, performance marketing, and strategic priorities. By unlocking insights from across the omnichannel ecosystem, the GROUP DATA INSIGHTS DIRECTOR acts as a critical enabler of customer understanding, personalization, and growth—steering decisions, optimizing experiences, and refining business development efforts with evidence-based insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Consumer Intelligence Strategy & Measurement Framework
- Define and govern the organization-wide measurement and analytics framework with a strong focus on consumer intelligence and engagement.
- Establish a standardized approach to data interpretation, ensuring consistency in metrics across regions, categories, and channels.
- Embed a journey-based view of measurement that reflects real customer behavior and drives decision-making across the organization.
2. Business KPI Design & Data Stewardship
- Define key business performance indicators in alignment with strategic priorities, customer experience goals, and commercial objectives.
- Partner with Business Intelligence and Data Engineering teams to ensure data sources, structures, and mapping protocols support consistent, scalable KPI tracking.
- Drive clarity on data ownership and ensure the quality, reliability, and governance of insights delivered to stakeholders.
3. Advanced Analytics & Strategic Insight Activation
- Lead the development of actionable insights that inform growth strategies, optimize resource allocation, and enhance customer value.
- Analyze customer journeys, pain points, engagement patterns, and conversion dynamics to guide strategy refinement and investment decisions.
- Proactively identify opportunities for innovation through predictive analytics, behavioral modeling, and performance diagnostics.
4. Reporting Excellence & Insight Communication
- Lead the design and delivery of consolidated reporting packages and dashboards that transform raw data into meaningful stories for decision-makers.
- Ensure reporting cadence meets business needs—from strategic leadership reviews to operational team insights.
- Translate complex findings into business-relevant narratives that influence roadmaps and priorities.
5. Strategic Partnership & Organizational Enablement
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams—translating insights into tangible actions that drive impact.
- Support cross-functional collaboration by embedding data thinking into marketing, loyalty, customer experience, digital, and commercial strategies.
- Help refine strategic goals based on performance monitoring and real-time customer intelligence.
6. Data-Driven Optimization of Customer Interactions
- Champion the shift toward data-informed steering of customer engagement activities, ensuring campaign targeting, content delivery, and feature development are optimized for maximum impact.
- Enable smarter budget allocation and improved ROI by leveraging customer behavior insights and segmentation performance.
