Who you are:

You are enthusiastic about data engineering and you want to help in supporting and optimizing BI solutions. You have a basic understanding of BI in Azure and a strong desire to learn, particularly in areas such as data pipelines, error management, and visualization.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Microsoft Azure Data Engineer to join our support department. The main task is to manage and support our existing BI solutions on Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of data engineering and business intelligence principles, hands-on experience with SQL or Azure services, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business insights.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the support team to maintain and improve our BI systems in Microsoft Azure.
• Assist in developing, deploying, and managing data solutions.
• Help to manage and optimize Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database) and Power BI for data processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Maintain data integration processes from various sources into Azure data lakes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure they run reliably and efficiently.
• Continuously learn to stay updated with advancements in Azure, BI.
• Provide recommendations for best practices and improvements in data management.
• Learn from experienced team members and follow your career development path

Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Passion for data engineering and business intelligence.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI or other reporting tool
• Fluent English written and spoken, German is strong advantage.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Being open minded, motivated, and self-organized.

Nice to have:

• Hands on experience with Cloud platform. Microsoft Azure is preferable. Particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, C#.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or Business Administration or related field.
• Knowledge of data modelling techniques and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of basic ERP Processes in the Frontend (e.g. Process a Purchase order, Process a sales order)
