ROLE PURPOSE:
This role is designed to amplify the SMALL BATCH TOOLS brand by transforming our expertise and content into structured, strategic campaigns while identifying new opportunities to position the company at the forefront of the independent eyewear movement. It builds on strong foundations and focuses on leveraging industry trends, expanding visibility, and connecting SBT’s tools and mission with a growing global community. The role also involves building and supporting niche communities around eyewear making. At SBT we use social networks thoughtfully, prioritising strong client relationships, direct support, and unique know-how while opening doors for early adopters and designers who are challenging supply chains, enhancing customer experience, reducing CO₂, and staying ahead of industry trends.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Monitor and analyse trends in the eyewear, maker, and creative industries to identify brand opportunities and support business projects.
- Proactively seek platforms, events, partnerships, and conversations where SBT should be visible, working closely with the executive team.
- Develop campaigns and messaging that position our brand as a leader in the small-batch eyewear movement, with a strong customer focus.
- Build and manage a strategic multi-platform content calendar aligned with product launches, trade shows (MIDO in Milan, SILMO in Paris), and brand goals.
- Define and maintain clear content pillars based on brand narrative, audience interests, and business priorities.
- Lead SBT’s presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
- Plan, produce, and repurpose engaging short- and long-form content for social and video channels.
- Grow YouTube and our new video-based app, currently in development, into a hub for education, brand storytelling, and product awareness.
- Craft compelling brand stories, case studies, and behind-the-scenes content that build community loyalty.
- Support the Sales department in achieving company goals and mission.
- Plan and manage paid campaigns (Google, Meta, print) to support product launches and key initiatives.
- Lead content and messaging for major product launches and new product lines.
- Co-lead planning and content strategy for the upcoming SBT website, ensuring alignment with brand tone and audience needs.
WHAT WE EXPECT:
- Proven experience in content marketing, brand building, or strategic communications.
- Strong ability to identify and act on marketing opportunities.
- Fluency in English with excellent storytelling and copywriting skills.
- Confidence with content tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite, Final Cut, or similar).
- Familiarity with digital advertising and SEO/analytics basics.
- Hands-on mindset with strong execution skills.
- Long-term vision with the ability to connect projects into a coherent brand strategy.
- Comfort working in a flexible, growing company in a unique industry.
- Bonus points: experience in creative, maker, or design communities; photography, video editing, or visual design skills; Czech and/or Italian language (not required).
