As a LCA Specialist at Brose, you will play a important role in shaping our global sustainability strategy by managing and developing data processes around Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), and material compliance tools such as IMDS. You will ensure our methods remain at the cutting edge, supporting both internal stakeholders and external collaborations to drive meaningful progress in environmental responsibility.
Your Task
- Manage and develop sustainability-related data in tools such as LCA, IMDS, and SAP, with a strong focus on Product Carbon Footprint (PCF).
- Conduct and coordinate Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for the Brose Group.
- Continuously improve LCA methodologies, ensuring alignment with state-of-the-art practices.
- Represent Brose in external sustainability networks and working groups (e.g., UN, CLEPA, Catena-X).
- Actively participate in internal boards and cross-functional working groups (e.g., Environmental Coordinators, Corporate Responsibility Board, CBAM task forces).
- Support business units, environmental coordinators, and global teams in conducting and evaluating LCAs with a primary focus on PCF.
- Assess and approve materials for sustainability characteristics and manage related master data in SAP.
- Contribute to the integration of additional sustainability communication systems (e.g., IMDS, Catena-X, CICES).
Your Profile
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Sustainability, Environmental Technology, or a related field, with a focus on LCA and PCF.
- Sound knowledge of LCA methodology; experience with common LCA software and databases (e.g., Sphera, Ecoinvent) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, painting, riveting, foaming) and material groups (plastics, metals, greases, electronics).
- Strong analytical and data management skills, with proficiency in MS Office and ideally SAP.
- Business-fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and international environments.
