Team summary
To improve our risk management, we are looking for colleagues to support us in this area. Together with our colleagues in the Group and at our headquarters in Wolfsburg, you will monitor and use various systems and tools in a broad-based team in order to minimize potential damage in good time or proactively minimize/avoid risks.
 
Possible tasks in this role

  • Uses VW-Group application daily to identify short term risks new supply chain short-term risks
  • Deploy deep risk data investigations, including river flood simulation, geographic data access (e.g distance from rivers, past events and elevation profile) to identify supplier risks.
  • Monitor active risks and provide updates towards group organizations;
  • Consume reactive incidents alerts via web crawling (e.g Fa. Prewave) and provide studies/results of possible impacted supply chain to be reported


Qualification requirements

  • You can seamlessly apply your excellent English and German skills in both our international and national corporate environments.
  • Your hands-on mentality, strong intrinsic motivation, eagerness to learn, and excellent communication skills in interactions with various stakeholders (m/f/d) contribute to your success in this role.
  • Degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, or related field. Strong experience with GIS applications (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS). Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of natural disaster modeling, flood risk assessment, and supply chain impact analysis.
  • Familiarity with web crawling tools for risk monitoring (e.g., Prewave).
  • Strong analytical mindset to investigate and interpret short-term risks. Experience in crisis management or supply chain risk is a plus.
