Supplier Quality Development Engineering (SQDE) Manager
Are you ready to lead supplier quality excellence in a high-tech environment spanning aerospace, defense, and semiconductor industries? Meopta is looking for a strategic and hands-on SQDE Manager to drive supplier performance, compliance, and innovation.
Your Mission: Lead and develop the Supplier Quality Development Engineering team to ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant, and traceable components from external suppliers. You’ll manage supplier qualification, audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement aligned with industry standards.
What You'll Do:
Qualify and approve new suppliers in collaboration with Purchasing and Engineering.
Conduct supplier audits (AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001, MIL-Q-9858).
Ensure compliance with DFARS, ITAR, and aerospace/defense requirements.
Validate APQP, PPAP, and FAI readiness for prototypes and production.
Monitor supplier KPIs (OTD, PPM, audit scores, complaint rates).
Lead risk assessments using FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans.
Drive corrective actions and supplier improvement using 8D and RCA.
Manage supplier process audits and ensure robust quality systems.
Support new product launches and production ramp-up.
Represent Meopta in customer audits and government inspections.
Ensure documentation and traceability meet regulatory and contractual standards.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or Materials Science.
5+ years in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality, 3+ years in leadership.
Strong knowledge of quality tools: 8D, FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP.
Deep familiarity with standards: AS9100, NADCAP, MIL-STD, DFARS, ITAR.
Experience in cleanroom, microelectronics, or defense-grade manufacturing.
Proficiency in Excel, Minitab, Power BI.
Fluent English (B2+); other languages are a plus.
