The FinOps Analyst is responsible for providing transparency, insight, and optimization of IT infrastructure costs across Eurowag’s hybrid technology landscape — covering both public cloud environments (primarily Azure) and on-premise systems.
This role sits at the IT, supporting data-driven decision making around technology spend, investment planning, and efficiency initiatives.
The FinOps Analyst will act as the single point of expertise for IT cost management, working closely with IT leadership, Platform and Infrastructure teams, and Procurement to ensure technology resources are used securely, efficiently, and sustainably.

Job requirements

• 5 + years of experience in FinOps, IT cost management, or Infrastructure Operations with exposure to financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of Azure cost structures and optimization levers (e.g., reserved instances, savings plans, storage classes, etc.).
• Proven ability to work with both cloud and on-premise cost models (hardware depreciation, datacenter OPEX, licensing).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency with reporting/visualization tools (Power BI or similar) and scripting or automation for cost data extraction.
• Solid communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex cost drivers to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-driven, curious, and comfortable working as a solo FinOps function in close cooperation with IT leadership, Engineering, Procurement & Finance.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and maintain visibility into total IT infrastructure cost — including compute, storage, network, and software license components across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Partner with IT teams and Finance and other stakeholders to create a consistent showback/chargeback model and cost allocation methodology.
• Build and maintain reporting and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Excel, or native cloud tools) for tracking spend, trends, and forecasts.
• Analyze cloud and datacenter utilization to identify cost optimization opportunities (e.g., rightsizing, licensing models, storage tiering, scheduling).
• Collaborate with Platform and Engineering teams to recommend actionable optimizations and follow up on implementation and savings tracking.
• Support IT budget planning and forecasting cycles with accurate, data-driven insights.
• Contribute to policy and governance frameworks for resource tagging, reserved instances, and lifecycle management.
• Act as subject-matter expert on FinOps practices, tools, and processes, helping to build cost awareness across teams.
• Continuously improve automation and reporting of cost data to increase accuracy and reduce manual effort.
