Moravskoslezské cukrovary s.r.o. is a member of the international group AGRANA. AGRANA Sugar Division is one of the leading entities in the field of sugar production in Central and Eastern Europe. We are currently looking for a suitable candidate for the Opava plant for the position of:

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Tasks and responsibilities associated with accounting operations:

  • month end closing, year end closing - local related matters and also interface with auditors
  • assisting in the preparation of tax audit documentation
  • handling income tax and VAT related matters
  • maintaining accounting records and processing accounting documents – local related matters
  • issuing remaining local invoices
  • cooperation with Shared Service Centre on all topics
  • settling travel allowances for local employees
  • managing cash registers

What do we expect from you?

  • University degree in economics
  • at least 5 years of experience in accounting
  • comprehensive knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and tax laws, including VAT
  • knowledge of English
  • experience with SAP system
  • strong Excel skills
  • analytical skills and ability to make independent decisions
