Pracovní nabídka

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Platform Team Leader with a strong background in both cloud infrastructure and application development to drive our engineering foundation forward.

You will lead a small, talented team (3-4 people), oversee our Platform tools and infrastructure, and ensure our AWS-based systems are scalable, secure, and reliable. This is a role for someone who loves to lead from the front—mentoring, coding, and problem-solving alongside the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively contribute to the Platform team, managing our AWS-based core engineering infrastructure.
  • Serve as a bridge between backend/application development teams and the platform team, helping translate development needs into scalable, secure platform capabilities.
  • Oversee and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab and legacy Jenkins jobs, and guide the migration to GitLab.
  • Define, enforce, and coach teams on Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi) best practices across environments.
  • Build templates through IaC, so we can help our dev teams to speedup their work
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters, support application/service deployments, and ensure smooth onboarding to ArgoCD.
  • Develop and maintain observability solutions, including Grafana dashboards, Loki logging, Prometheus metrics, Tempo distributed tracing, and Mimir.
  • Serve as a hands-on mentor and subject-matter expert for developers and engineers across the organization.
  • Establish platform standards, provide consulting on complex CI/CD and IaC use cases, and promote safe, scalable practices.
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve platform automation, reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Our Tech Stack:

  • Cloud Platform: AWS
  • CI/CD & Source Control: GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Fisheye
  • Deployment & Infrastructure: Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Pulumi (IaC)
  • Observability & Monitoring: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Mimir
  • Languages & Frameworks: Java, JSP, Bash, Python (basic level)
  • Additional Tools: HTTP(S) redirect/proxy services, Start/Stop Scheduler for non-prod environments, Database replication tools

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a hands-on Platform or DevOps
  • Solid background in Java-based and Python-based application development, including working with JSPs and modern backend development practices.
  • Strong expertise in AWS and Infrastructure as Code, preferably Pulumi, including defining organizational standards.
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes, including cluster provisioning, service deployments, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability with observability and monitoring, including Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and distributed tracing (Tempo).
  • Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Jenkins migration/automation.
  • Strong collaboration, mentoring, and leadership skills, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • A hands-on approach to leadership, leading by example in coding, debugging, and technical decision-making.
  • A track record of creating and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure platform services.

Perks & Benefits

  • 5 weeks of holidays + extra corporate days off
  • Sick days
  • Flexibility to work from home most of the week
  • Certain flexibility to schedule your working hours
  • Cafeteria system (use points on Pluxee, pension/life insurance, or Multisport card)
  • Meal allowance
