Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Strategic leadership: Creating and implementing application strategy, prioritizing investments, aligning with company goals, harmonizing the application environment, and introducing innovations. Regular strategic dialogue with representatives of other company competence centers.
• Operational security: Ensuring availability, performance, version management, changes, and incidents for all critical applications.
• Application lifecycle management: Managing implementation, maintenance, versioning, patch management, and end-of-life planning.
• Service Management: Responsibility for provider SLAs, operating models, documentation, and continuous improvement of the support team.
• Team leadership: Leading and developing application managers, support, and DevOps teams; resource allocation and competency building.
• Alignment of management and architecture: Collaborating with enterprise architects, security, infrastructure, and development to adhere to architectural and security principles.
• Supplier management: Management of external service providers, oversight of contracts and performance, third-party risk management.
• Finance and reporting: Responsibility for budget, cost and investment tracking, and regular reporting to IT management.
• Collaboration: Close collaboration with other centers of excellence within IT.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in computer science, business informatics, or similar field.
• Experience: Several years of experience in application management or IT services; experience in an international or global environment is an advantage.
• Expertise: ITIL, application lifecycle management tools, cloud-native applications, Software as a Service, integration patterns, monitoring and supervision.
• Certifications: ITIL Practitioner, PMP/Prince2, relevant cloud certifications are an advantage.
• Language skills: Fluent English, German is an advantage.
