Senior SHE Specialist (Safety – Health – Environment)
Main Mission of the Job:
The Senior SHE Specialist supports the highest standards of occupational safety, health, and environmental protection across Meopta’s manufacturing operations. This role contributes to the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SHE programs in line with legal, regulatory, and company standards. The position collaborates with production, maintenance, and technical teams to strengthen the company’s safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain SHE management systems, policies, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations and certifications (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Deliver SHE training programs to employees and management.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate SHE risks.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities and external auditors.
Monitor and report SHE performance indicators.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in new projects to integrate SHE requirements from the start.
Skills and Experience Required:
University degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Legally required certifications for SHE responsibilities in manufacturing.
3–5 years of experience in a similar SHE role in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Strong knowledge of Czech and EU SHE legislation.
Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems.
Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and SHE-related software; ERP (SAP) knowledge is an advantage.
Fluent in Czech and proficient in English.
