Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management
Coordination of projects in the field of plastics and silicone processing, including planning, implementation, and monitoring of objectives.
- Support in ensuring adherence to budgets, deadlines, and quality targets within the scope of the projects.
- Preparation of project plans, milestone tracking, and resource management.
2. Process Development and Optimization
- Development and implementation of new manufacturing processes in plastics and silicone processing.
- Optimization of existing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Introduction and support of new technologies, including the transition to series production.
3. Simulation and Prototype Management
- Use of modern simulation tools (e.g. Sigmasoft) for process design and optimization.
- Planning and execution of prototype trials, including coordination with the development department.
- Technical support for R&D and production departments regarding material selection, feasibility, and readiness for series production of plastic and silicone components and products.
4. Quality Assurance and Process Control
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and performing process capability analyses
- Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Implementation and monitoring of quality assurance measures for continuous improvement.
5. Supplier Development and Evaluation
- Identification, evaluation, and qualification of suitable suppliers for tools, materials, and technologies.
- Preparation of technical specifications and requirement documents.
- Technical evaluation and release of tools and equipment in cooperation with suppliers.
6. International Collaboration and Standardization
- Support of international projects to standardize manufacturing processes.
- Ensuring global adherence to defined standards in plastics and silicone processing.
- Close cooperation with international teams and sites, especially within the PFISTERER Group.
Requirements:
Education:
Completed technical training as a certified technician or a degree in engineering, preferably with a focus on production engineering, process engineering, or plastics technology.
Professional Experience:
Several years of experience in plastics processing, process optimization, and project management, ideally with practical experience in silicone processing (e.g. injection molding, direct molding).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Solid knowledge in plastics and silicone processing and process development
- Experience with modern simulation techniques and prototyping
- Proficiency in project management methods and common tools (e.g. MS Project, SAP)
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating and optimizing processes and projects
- Strategic and solution-oriented mindset
- Independent work style and high sense of responsibility
- Willingness for continuous professional development, especially in process optimization and material processing
Language Skills:
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken, for effective communication with international teams and partners
- Good German skills for coordination with colleagues within the group
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, high initiative, and a structured way of working
Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel regularly to national and international production sites
