Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Research Engineer to join our R&D team at DSRailTech. We would be delighted to welcome you to our team!

The tasks you will be performing, but are not limited to, include

• Contribute to the high level design of application software.
• Research and development of core application algorithms.
• Implementation of such algorithms in prototype software.
• Contribute to the research and development of current/future hardware devices (sensors/actuators).
• Design tests for the assessment of newly developed sensors/actuators/approaches.
• Analysis of large amount of sensor data for statistical, dataset creation, and testing purposes.
• Participate in the filing of patent applications.
• Manage small groups of research engineers for the research and development of new/existing applications.

Requirements:

• 5 - 7 years experience in accordance with the job description, railways experience is a plus.
• BS/MS/PhD in engineering, computer science, or similar degree program (or equivalent experience).
• High knowledge of Python (and science/numerical oriented libraries).
• Basic knowledge of C/C++ and distributed version control systems (Git).
• High knowledge of Tensorflow, Pytorch, deep learning, machine learning, probabilities, artificial intelligence, DSP.
• Good physics background on sound and vibration, kinematics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
• Good mathematical background.

Fully remote position. With the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Our offices are located in the Czech Republic (Prague) and Slovakia (Košice).
