Pracovní nabídka

To strengthen our Risk Analytics Team, we are looking for two new colleagues who will focus on the analysis and monitoring of natural disasters in specific world regions. Together with our colleagues in the Group and at our headquarters in Wolfsburg, you will work in an interdisciplinary team to identify risks early and proactively take measures to prevent damage.

Possible tasks in this role


- Daily use of the VW Group application to identify short-term risks in the supply chain.

- Conduct in-depth risk analyses, such as river flood simulations and geographic data analysis (e.g., proximity to rivers, historical events, elevation profiles).

- Monitor active risks and provide regular updates to Group organizations.

- Utilize reactive incident alerts (e.g., Prewave) to assess potential impacts on the supply chain.

- Continuous observation of a defined area/region, tracking existing incidents & risks regarding to supply chain interrupion

Qualification requirements


- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken (C1), German is a plus

- Degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, or a related field.

- Experience with GIS applications (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).

- Knowledge of natural disaster modeling, flood risk assessment, and supply chain impact analysis.

- Familiarity with web crawling tools for risk monitoring (e.g., Prewave).

- Strong analytical skills to interpret short-term risks.

- Experience in crisis management or supply chain risk management is a plus.
