Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain core backend services for sport data pipelines.
• Own and evolve the platform’s backend infrastructure (Java/Python, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Drive architectural decisions and improve development workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify, shape, and deliver technical solutions.
• Help elevate the overall engineering culture through mentorship and code reviews.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable backend systems in Java or Python and willing to learn the other.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as a code.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of large technical areas.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with distributed teams.
• Positive 'can-do' approach, eager to use AI to explore new and sometimes exotic technologies.

Desired Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of .NET and ability to contribute to .NET-based backend components when needed.
• AI prompting and agentic experience
