The Data Engineer supports engineering operations by developing data-driven solutions that streamline processes, improve data consistency, and enhance the reliability and accessibility of technical information. The role focuses on automation, standardization of engineering data, and efficient integration of data sources to strengthen decision-making and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Automation & Engineering Support

• Develop automation tools and applications (using C#, Python, or Java) that reduce manual workload and improve engineering workflows
• Translate engineering process needs into practical digital solutions that increase overall efficiency

Data Pipeline, Modeling & Standardization

• Design and maintain data pipelines integrating information from ERP LN, CRM, MES, IoT and other engineering systems
• Develop and refine data models and database logic to support structured, reliable, and reusable engineering data
• Establish and promote standards for data quality, structure, and consistency across engineering functions
• Support initiatives focused on data efficiency, ensuring data is well-organized, optimized, and easy to work with

Systems & Data Integration

• Support data preparation, transformation, and structuring activities related to engineering systems (e.g., PLM or other enterprise/technical systems)
• Contribute to aligning and validating engineering data to ensure smooth interaction between systems and consistent information flow across the organization

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with Data Analysts, engineering specialists, IT partners, and project stakeholders to deliver dependable data solutions
• Understand engineering processes and use this knowledge to build tools that support daily operations

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to enhance existing workflows through automation, data standardization, and improved data accessibility

Required Qualifications:

Education

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Automation or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)

Technical Skills

• Practical experience with SQL for querying, modeling, and working with relational databases
• Experience in programming with C#, Python, or Java (automation, internal tools, system integrations)
• Understanding of database structures, APIs, and general data architecture principles
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

Soft Skills

• Analytical and process-oriented mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn industrial processes

Preferred Experience

• Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with ERP (e.g., LN), system integrations, and industrial data flows
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is beneficial but not required
• Exposure to AI/ML or advanced analytics is a plus
