The Data Engineer will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure supporting process mining initiatives. This role combines technical leadership, data architecture expertise, and collaboration across IT and business teams to enable efficient, data-driven process insights.

Which challenges are expecting you:

Data Engineering Leadership

  • Own and maintain system modules end-to-end, from development to continuous improvement.
  • Design robust ETL processes and scalable data solutions ensuring data quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams on data models and pipelines.
  • Introduce technical innovations and mentor junior engineers.

Process Mining Enablement

  • Integrate and configure process mining tools (e.g. Celonis) with enterprise systems.
  • Build and maintain data models for process mining and ensure reliable data flow.
  • Partner with data scientists and analysts to deliver needed infrastructure and improvements.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Ensure system stability, availability, and data security.
  • Implement and monitor data quality standards and documentation.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate IT service providers and support internal teams.
  • Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and communicate insights clearly.

Your desired profile:

Must have skills:

  • University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in IT or 1+ year in data engineering focused on ETL and data integration.
  • Hands-on experience with process mining tools (Celonis, UiPath, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and ETL tools (Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and/or big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and their data structures.
  • Fluent English; German is a plus.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
  • Solid understanding of technology and end-to-end business processes.
  • Proactive, reliable, self-organized, and solution-oriented mindset.

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with IT management tools such as JIRA, CAPE, or JIRA@BR.
    Background in corporate or cross-functional environments.
