Accounts Receivable Accountant (Prague / Full Time)

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our well‑established Shared Service Center in Karlín.

This position is open to both junior and senior candidates — whether you are early in your career and eager to learn, or you bring several years of accounting experience and are ready to take on more responsibility, we would love to speak with you.

In this role, you will support Merisant, a global food company dedicated to promoting healthier lifestyles and offering high‑quality plant‑based and artificial sweeteners, flavor enhancers, and other food products across a broad portfolio of trusted brands. We are part of Whole Earth Brands group.


What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in Accounts Receivable, ideally within a Shared Service Center environment.
  • Junior applicants: at least 1 year of AR experience, willingness to learn and grow.
  • Senior applicants: over 3 years of AR experience, ability to work independently
  • Education in Accounting or a related field is an advantage.
  • Fluent English, as we operate in a global, international environment.
  • Good Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
  • ERP experience is a plus — we work with SAP and D365.
  • A true team player who is responsible, reliable, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute customer payment application, including cash posting, bank reconciliation, identification of unmatched payments, and resolving remittance issues.
  • Monitor and resolve collection discrepancies (pricing differences, missing PO, delivery confirmation issues) in cooperation with Customer Service and relevant departments. Review open deductions and resolve for unusual cases in cooperation with deduction department.
  • Reconcile customer accounts by reviewing statements, unapplied payments, and related transactions, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on overdue receivables. Prepare aging report and comments for management.
  • Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items and maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Set up and maintain customer credit limits in coordination with Finance and Sales.
  • Review and release customer orders placed on credit hold in line with company AR policies.
  • Prepare AR-related journal entries, reconciliations, and aging analyses.
  • Participate in the monthly closing process for assigned areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and AR procedures.
  • Provide supporting documentation for external audits, ensuring smooth audit execution.
  • Safeguard company information by maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline AR processes and enhance efficiency.
