Meta is seeking skilled engineers to join our team and contribute to the development of graphics frameworks, algorithms, and tools that maximize quality and performance. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Meta to create real-time rendering architecture, build high-quality digital representations of people, and enhance real-time systems. Your expertise in authoring high-quality, performant, and maintainable code will be essential in delivering industry leading products video editing and effects spaces. You will also have the opportunity to document and support graphics and tooling features, working closely with various infrastructure and product teams to drive project success.
Responsibilities
Develop graphics frameworks, algorithms, and tools to maximize quality and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Meta to create real-time rendering architecture
Build tools and pipelines for generating realistic synthetic images and digital representations
Enable high-fidelity experiences through remote compute solutions on smaller devices
Document and support graphics features
Partner closely with various infra, runtime, technical artist, and product teams to deliver innovation into products
Build platforms for cloud-streamed games and rendering subsystems for various platforms
Experience with object-oriented and component-based design experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
7+ years software development experience in industry settings or PhD with 4+ years of experience
3+ years of graphics software engineering experience
Experience with C/C++ programming
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of mobile GPU architectures
Experience with HDR, color spaces, color grading techniques, lighting, effects
Experience with shaders (OpenGL, Metal, Vulkan)
Experience optimizing for media rendering on mobile devices (memory management, hardware buffers, knowledge of codecs/transcoding techniques)
Experience developing mobile and desktop applications (iOS, Android, MacOS)
Experience developing authoring tool (IDE) for shader/effect creation
Experience with Computer Vision Machine Learning (CVML), masks, cutouts, face/body tracking, etc
Compensation
88,46 US$/hour to 257 000 US$/year + bonus + equity + benefits
