O pozici

Pracovní nabídka

We are currently looking for a qualified and committed IB History Teacher who would like to become a long-term member of our international teaching community and who may also contribute to other Humanities subjects (ideally Geography), depending on expertise and interest.

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach History at Middle and High School level, including IB DP History
  • Plan and deliver structured, engaging, inquiry-based lessons
  • Develop students’ critical thinking, source analysis, and argumentation skills
  • Potentially teach additional Humanities subjects (e.g., Geography), depending on qualifications
  • Prepare students for IB assessments and written coursework
  • Provide constructive, criteria-based feedback
  • Guide students in developing strong research, writing, and argumentation skills
  • Optionally contribute to co-curricular programmes such as CAS, Model UN, or the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments and contribute to interdisciplinary learning, student mentoring, and curriculum development

We would greatly appreciate it if our new colleague would also be involved in several important co-curricular and leadership roles:

  • CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) Coordinator within the IB Diploma Programme
  • Model United Nations (MUN) elective leader
  • Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Coordinator

Where a coordinating or leadership role is assumed, a reduction in teaching load can be arranged accordingly, reflecting the additional responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Native or near-native English proficiency
  • University degree in History, Education, or a related field
  • Experience teaching at the secondary school level
  • IB DP teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and intellectually engage students
  • Openness to Montessori-inspired principles and project learning

We are especially interested in educators who are already based in the Czech Republic or elsewhere in Europe and are familiar with teaching in an international or bilingual school context. Experience with the Czech educational environment is highly valued.

What We Offer

  • Employer-supported work permit process (costs fully covered)
  • Full health insurance
  • Full-time contract with extension possibility
  • 8 weeks of paid school holidays
  • Additional sick days
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Several employee benefits
  • Supportive bilingual Czech-English staff team
  • Positive, respectful workplace culture
  • Competitive compensation
  • Start date: August 2026
  • Contract: Full-time (22 teaching hours a week)
