Senior HR Generalist – HR Operations & Labour Relations (Prague, Czech Republic)

Our client is looking for a hands-on HR Generalist to help stabilize and professionalize HR operations in the Czech Republic. This is an operational, individual-contributor role with a strong administrative component—close to employees, line managers, and day-to-day reality in a technically demanding service environment.

The role – purpose and impact

You will stabilize core HR operations in the Czech Republic with a strong focus on labour relations, payroll accuracy, and H&S compliance. You will help ensure HR fundamentals are robust, compliant, and well executed across HQ and customer facilities supporting a team of 20+ electro-mechanical technicians. You will build clarity through basic HR process set-up, documentation, and workflows aligned with Group standards and local realities.

You will act as the first HR contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters and labour relations topics. You will provide limited, clearly defined operational HR support to Hungary and Turkey (non-managerial, within agreed scope).

Key responsibilities

HR process standardization: set up and document basic HR processes; establish workflows, roles, and responsibilities; align with Group standards.

HR administration & payroll support: manage contracts/changes/terminations; maintain HR documentation and employee records (SAP SuccessFactors); prepare and validate monthly payroll inputs; own time sheets, shifts, absences, and overtime with site managers; liaise with the external payroll provider.

Employee support & hiring (operational roles): coordinate recruitment; organize onboarding and first-day set-up; manage records of uniforms, access, and basic equipment; handle daily employee queries as first HR contact.

Health & Safety & mandatory trainings: coordinate risk classification, medical check-ups, legally required trainings; liaise with authorities and external H&S providers; track/report incidents and corrective actions; coordinate H&S at Bor (without being the technical HSE expert).

Labour relations: primary HR counterpart for employee representation / trade unions where applicable; support the Managing Director in preparation and follow-up of discussions, in alignment with Regional HR and legal advisors when needed.

Training, communication, reporting & compliance: promote and monitor mandatory trainings (Client Academy); support audits; prepare basic HR reports and HSE/sustainability data when required; ensure compliance with labour law and data protection.

Regional alignment: implement regional and global HR guidelines/tools; collaborate closely with the Regional Head of HR Southern Europe; escalate local risks or legal concerns in time.
