Our client was founded by four former Formula 1 engineers who leveraged their experience to build a platform that brings the power of real-time data stream processing to a broader audience. Now, we are ready to find suitable profile for a Python Software Engineer to help customers revolutionize how they manage and analyse test data. In this role, you’ll work closely with engineering teams to integrate test environments, design data flows, architect data lakes, and build custom software solutions tailored to unique measurement and configuration challenges.
Important note: This role is intended for EU citizens and residence permit holders with free access to labor market based in Prague.
Type of cooperation: hybrid (3 days in office)
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate directly with Formula 1 teams and other world class engineering organizations, integrating their test, measurement, and metadata systems with our platform.
- Maintain and enhance our open source Python codebase, taking ownership of improvements and contributing new functionality over time.
- Design and implement tailored data ingestion pipelines, schemas, and configurations that fit each customer’s unique environment, working closely with colleagues across engineering and customer teams.
- Extend our open source stream processing framework, Quix Streams, to support customer specific requirements and advance the broader project roadmap.
- Rapidly prototype, validate, and deploy working solutions in demanding, fast paced engineering environments.
- Provide real world feedback and insights to our core engineering teams to influence future platform features and overall product direction.
What Will Make You a Great Fit:
- Min. 5 years of experience with SW development
- Strong hands-on experience with SW engineering role focused on Python, plus exposure to additional languages such as JavaScript, C#, or others.
- Practical experience in building and operating data pipelines; familiarity with Kafka or other stream processing technologies is a strong advantage.
- Confidence in engaging directly with customers — listening, exploring problems, and translating domain needs into effective engineering solutions.
- Willingness to work primarily on-site in our Prague 6 office, while enjoying the flexibility of occasional work-from-home days.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
