Your impact and responsibilities

Own the finalization, control, and communication of Inventory & COGS statements and reports (Finished Goods / Inventory) on a monthly basis, including in‑depth data analysis, root‑cause explanations, corrections, and journal entry posting using SAP and Excel.
Act as a key finance contact for inventory activities, supporting the transition of Make scope into the GS organization and ensuring accuracy, process understanding, and operational stability.
Support J&J affiliates and local finance teams (EMEA) in the finalization and control of inventory reserves (e.g. SLOB, Full Absorption, Inventory Revaluation, LCM), including P&L impact analysis.
Ensure that inventory data is complete, accurate, and reported on time, in line with month‑end closing cut‑offs and revenue recognition requirements.
Take an active role in large‑scale initiatives and projects impacting inventory and COGS, such as transitions, system onboarding, and process changes.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert supporting other team members with complex analyses, reconciliations, and problem resolution, and contribute to knowledge transfer and onboarding of new joiners.
Review existing processes and drive improvements in collaboration with standardization and automation teams, identifying root causes of recurring issues and coordinating sustainable solutions.
Perform inventory reconciliations, proactively resolving and preventing discrepancies in cooperation with IT, Customer Service, Warehouses, and Local Finance.
Proactively and timely respond to queries from stakeholders and act as a trusted finance partner and source of expertise.
 

Qualifications

Finance or Accounting background; Bachelor’s degree minimum
Several years of experience as Manufacturing Controller
Strong SAP / JDE knowledge (inventory‑related processes); experience with advanced analytics tools (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI) is a strong advantage
Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage complex topics
Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability
Commitment to continuous learning and self‑development
Proficient written and spoken English
