Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Optimize cycle times and reduce operational costs to enhance production efficiency and profitability.
  • Define detailed process sequences and prepare comprehensive Start Of Production (SOP) documentation to ensure smooth manufacturing launches.
  • Provide industrialization support during New Product Introduction (NPI) phases, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless integration.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses using 8D methodology and Ishikawa diagrams to address and resolve quality deviations effectively.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and 5S methodologies on the shop floor to foster a culture of operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures, to ensure compliance and knowledge retention.
  • Analyze production data and key performance indicators to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and quality teams to ensure component and material quality meets automotive industry standards.
  • Typical day: Collaborate with production teams to monitor ongoing processes and troubleshoot issues impacting cycle time or quality.
  • Typical day: Lead cross-departmental meetings to review project progress, update process documentation, and plan continuous improvement activities.
  • Typical working hours: Standard 8-hour shifts aligned with production schedules, with occasional flexibility to support critical project phases.

Personality requirements and skills

Master’s in Mechanical, Production, or Automotive Engineering.
Minimum 3 years in Tier 1 or OEM settings.
Proficient in Lean Manufacturing Tools.
Strong problem-solving skills under pressure.
Excellent response to production downtime.
Fluent technical English for reports.
Ability to work within group standards.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Detail-oriented with analytical mindset.
Committed to continuous process improvement.
