Network Administrator (315)

We are looking for a new colleague to join our IT team at ELI Beamlines and help us manage and develop our network infrastructure in a unique international scientific environment.

Our environment is built mainly on Cisco and Fortinet technologies, so we welcome candidates with hands-on experience in these platforms or a strong background in enterprise networking.

Job description:

• Manage, maintain, and improve network infrastructure and related IT services
• Configure, monitor, update, and secure network devices
• Support network architecture design with a focus on availability, redundancy, and security
• Administer security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation
• Troubleshoot incidents and connectivity issues, identify root causes, and help maintain stable operations
• Contribute to automation, documentation, and infrastructure modernization
• Cooperate with colleagues across teams and handle requests through the internal ticketing system
• Support compliance with security and regulatory requirements, including NIS2

Requirements:

• Experience with enterprise network administration
• Good knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and monitoring
• Practical experience with Cisco and/or Fortinet
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and work in a structured, reliable way
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach

Nice to have

• Experience with highly available or redundant network environments
• Knowledge of network security, automation, or systems administration
• Background in a research, data center, or other complex technical environment
