RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as a key link between the Commercial Lead, Regional finance team and cooperates and supervises the company’s Business Service Center
- Supporting the Commercial Lead in the decision-making process and contribute to the achievement of the business objectives
- Oversees monthly reporting package preparation including review with the regional finance team and the Commercial Lead
- Provides controllership functions in order to ensure finances are managed according to the legislation, policies and procedures, and generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP and local)
- Review and Preparation of monthly management accounts including analysis and commentary
- Controls the balance sheet accounts
- Provision of forward projections, full year forecasting and scenario analysis
- Responsible for timely and accurate local reporting (recycling fees, WEEE, copyright levies, statistics, intrastat)
- Ensures timely reporting and compliance with all domestic and international taxation requirements and management of the company’s taxation exposure in all areas of Tax (including but not limited to income tax, VAT, Payroll Tax, transfer pricing considerations, state taxes and duties, etc)
- Manages external audit requirements and the annual group and statutory audit
- Oversees, in conjunction with the Credit & AR Team, the process of customer credit assessment (including required regional and Corporate prior approvals) and credit management, as well as receivables collection
- Review of all contracts/agreements/leases and adopting role of key liaison point with internal and external legal advisors
- Contributes to Corporate Treasury’s cash optimisation by controlling and reducing Working Capital levels
- Manages escalated ad-hoc complaints and ad-hoc complex inquiries
Holds professional relationships with:
- Key vendors and key customers
- External auditors, lawyers and tax advisors
- Credit insurance company
- Regional and Corporate Finance to ensure guidelines and policies are followed
- Management Team to ensure the right level of financial understanding and keep their focus on cost saving and optimization
- Local government regarding Tax, VAT, Statistics, etc.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant (Accounting/Finance) degree qualifications
- Fluent English & Czech Skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to effectively use digital tools and systems
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Practical experience and technical knowledge of statutory and legal compliance
- Experience of “hand on” preparation of budgets and financial reporting of accurate decision making information in a timely manner
- Experience in wireless, high tech or IT industries will be an asset
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Overall strategic and business orientation approach
