Regulatory Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating regulatory and compliance activities across ARETE’s investment structures, including a regulated investment company and SICAV funds. The role combines hands-on regulatory work, coordination with external providers, and internal governance support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Czech and EU regulatory frameworks (in particular ZISIF, ZPKT, AML, GDPR, AIFMD, SFDR, MiFID II, DORA)
  • Act as a point of contact for the Czech National Bank in relation to regulatory reporting and supervisory matters
  • Coordinate regulatory reporting processes and liaise with external providers (depositaries, fund administrators, legal advisers)
  • Support governance of fund structures (SICAVs), including preparation of materials for boards and corporate bodies
  • Oversee onboarding, KYC/AML processes and cooperation with banks and counterparties
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure their effective implementation into internal processes

Requirements:

  • University degree in law, economics, or finance
  • 3–5+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory, or legal advisory within financial services
  • Practical knowledge of Czech capital markets regulation (ZISIF, ZPKT, AML) and EU frameworks (AIFMD, SFDR, MiFID II, GDPR, DORA)
  • Experience with the Czech National Bank is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions
  • Fluent Czech (C2) and professional English (minimum C1)
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Databox or CNB ePortal is an advantage
