Introduction: Are you an expert in balancing production demand with industrial resources? SEGULA Technologies is looking for a Lead Industrial Planner to join our team on a long-term mission at our client's manufacturing site. You will be responsible for orchestrating the adequacy between demand (firm & forecast) and resources (material, labor, and machinery) to meet strict Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets in a high-tech railway environment.


Key Responsibilities & Main Activities:

Demand Management & Analysis:

  • Consolidate and analyze demand forecasts (BoQs/BOMs) from tender and project teams.
  • Ensure consistency and completeness of data within the ERP (GSI) and Core Planning Tools.
  • Validate the adequacy between project needs and supplier lead times for firm demands.

Master Production Scheduling (MPS) & S&OP:

  • Build and maintain the production plan using the 3M approach (Material, Men, Machine).
  • Lead the SIOP (Sales Inventory and Operations Planning) cycle by performing simulations and proposing feasible production scenarios.
  • Collaborate on quarterly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) to align industrial capacity with the site's strategic plan and project portfolio.

Resource & Bottleneck Management:

  • Calculate manufacturing and testing workloads; identify required resources by workshop, trade, and skill set.
  • Conduct bottleneck analyses, identify risks, and propose recovery scenarios when capacity limits are reached.
  • Collaborate with Industrial teams and HR to manage resource allocation.

Operational Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Monitor daily production plan adherence and perform root-cause analysis (5-Why method) for any delays.
  • Maintain real-time data integrity in the ERP/Planning tools.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Manufacturing Throughput, Production Performance, and Work in Progress (WIP).

Change & Crisis Management:

  • Evaluate the impact of unforeseen events (supplier crises, etc.) through simulations and update planning accordingly.
  • Manage communication packs for Supply Chain and Procurement in the event of validated major project changes.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience: Proven experience in industrial planning or supply chain, specifically within the Railway, Aerospace, or Automotive sectors.
  • Technical Skills: * Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/GSI) and Core Planning Tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data synthesis and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) rules.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, sense of urgency, and the ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to stakeholders.
  • Languages: English (fluent), Czech advantage
