For our client, international manufacturing company, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for developing and expanding business opportunities within the defence sector for an established international group with multiple production sites in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining the business strategy and actively identifying new business opportunities within the defence sector in Europe region
- Responsibility for sales of the product portfolio across three manufacturing plants within the group, including identifying synergies between the individual plants and effectively utilizing their production capacities within defence projects
- Building relationships with decision makers within the industry, mapping the market, and monitoring developments in the European defence sector
- Drive the full sales cycle – from opportunity identification and tender participation to negotiation and contract closure
- Provide regular reporting, forecasts, and market insights to local and group management
- Contribute to shaping product and solution development based on customer and market feedback
- Keeping colleagues informed about market developments, new trends, and customer expectations

Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in international sales within the defence industry (B2B preferred, B2G also acceptable), existing network within the defence industry is highly desirable
- Proactive, dynamic, and self-motivated personality
- Ability to think strategically and identify business opportunities
- Results-driven approach combined with strong analytical skills
- Ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships
- Strong communication and negotation skills
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
