About the Role

The Global Parts Business Unit operates an extensive global supply chain network and aims to be an indispensable partner in the mobility value chain.

In Europe, we have a solid customer base with established trading activities. We are now entering a new phase of growth—moving beyond conventional trading toward higher-value business models, including innovative supply chain solutions and strategic partnerships.

To support this transformation, we are seeking a Business Developer who can proactively drive new business initiatives, strengthen customer relationships, and coordinate cross-border projects.

✈️ Business travel: Approx. 30–40%, primarily within Europe

Key Responsibilities

1. New Supply Chain Solutions for Existing Customers

  • Build and further develop relationships with existing customers, primarily Tier 1 suppliers of Toyota.
  • Identify customer pain points by closely monitoring market and operational changes through on-site visits and direct engagement.
  • Design and propose optimized supply chain solutions, including logistics, sourcing, and trading structures.
  • Benchmark best practices and business models by collaborating with global colleagues across regions.
  • Coordinate logistics planning and cost calculations in close cooperation with internal sales teams.
  • Develop cross-border trading and logistics schemes, incorporating risk assessment and cost optimization.

2. Development of Potential Strategic Partners

  • Initiate contact with identified potential partner companies.
  • Conduct on-site visits and establish the foundation for long-term collaboration.
  • Propose value-added supply chain services tailored to partner capabilities and customer needs.

3. Market Intelligence & Strategic Expansion

  • Support business strategy development and market entry initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global teams to align regional activities with global strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to expand available sales tools and commercial capabilities.


 Your Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is a plus (motivated recent graduates with strong potential are welcome to apply).
  • Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a strong asset (Chinese, Spanish, French).

Experience:

  • Sales or commercial experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Strong interest in business development, supply chain, and international trade is essential.
  • Strong and open interpersonal and negotiation skills, with ability to work across cultures and time zones.
  • Proficient in MS Office and general business tools.
