Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise networking environments, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN technologies.

The position focuses on maintaining stable and efficient network operations, supporting business needs, and contributing to the continuous improvement of network services in a fast-paced, global environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Network Operations & Strategy

• Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN).
• Perform configuration changes on switches, routers, and wireless controllers.
• Ensure network reliability, performance, and availability.

Network Implementation & Monitoring

• Deploy and support network solutions across the organization.
• Monitor network performance and analyze traffic using monitoring tools.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and configuration improvements.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues.
• Act as escalation point for Tier 1 support.
• Ensure network resiliency and minimize downtime.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
• Collaborate with global IT teams on infrastructure and business initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement of network services and processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Networking: Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and enterprise networking concepts.
• Cisco Technologies: Experience with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS.
• Wireless & SD-WAN: Understanding of WLAN and SD-WAN technologies.
• Security: Basic knowledge of network security and NGFWs.
• Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Automation: Experience with scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Cisco certification (CCNA or higher) preferred.

Experience Requirement:

• Proven experience maintaining and supporting enterprise network environments.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT roles.
• At least 3 years of experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Experience with wireless networks (deployment and support) is required.
