We are looking for a trade compliance professional to manage import/export formalities in Europe, including the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The role will include focus on import compliance but also assist with general organizational trade compliance initiatives. The candidate will join the Global Trade function within the Legal Department and collaborate cross-functionally to execute established compliance processes supporting applicable regulations.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Oversee import/export compliance policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure adherence to Czech regulations, and assist with trade compliance in other regions including Slovakia and other European Union countries.
  • Monitor changes in trade regulations and provide guidance to internal teams on compliance requirements.
  • Must be able to correspond confidently to Customs authorities.
  • Familiar with EU documents such as ATR, EUR 1, CMR, etc.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Train employees in trade compliance regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with logistics, procurement, legal, sales, and finance teams to ensure smooth international transactions while mitigating risks.
  • Maintain records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and report potential violations, including voluntary disclosures if necessary.
  • Monitor for CBAM compliance and report as needed.
  • Assist with other Trade Compliance initiatives as required.


YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in trade compliance.
  • Must be able to speak fluent Czech.
  • Subject matter expertise in Czech import/export matters
  • Familiarity with EU export control regulations including dual use regulations.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally occasionally.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
