Job Description: Senior Production Manager

Location: Litovel, Czechia

Reports to: General Manager – E.U.

Job Summary

Confitex Technology EU is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Production Manager to join our manufacturing facility in Litovel, Czechia.

▸ This is a senior on-site leadership role with scope to shape manufacturing excellence across a growing international operation. The role will occasionally require travel to trade shows and meetings with suppliers of materials, fabrics, and manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

▸ Oversee daily operations of the production facility, ensuring high efficiency and adherence to quality standards.

▸ Manage all production deadlines to strict timelines without delays, meeting output targets while maintaining safety and quality.

▸ Manage testing and commissioning of new manufacturing facilities and equipment.

▸ Introduce new products into the manufacturing process, ensuring seamless integration with validated procedures.

▸ Coordinate inter-plant manufacturing transfers and technology handovers.

▸ Monitor production KPIs (OEE, scrap rate, downtime) and drive corrective actions where necessary.

▸ Collaborate with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production flow.

▸ Lead and motivate production supervisors and teams, fostering a culture of responsibility, collaboration, and performance.

Quality, Compliance & Regulatory

▸ Oversee daily operations of the production facility, ensuring high efficiency and adherence to quality standards defined in the Quality Management Systems (QMS).

▸ Ensure production personnel understand and follow applicable SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP).

▸ Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations, ISO 13485, GMP, and internal policies.

▸ Report nonconformities, deviations, and quality issues to the Compliance Manager promptly.

▸ Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for new and existing production lines.

▸ Lead and support regulatory audits (FDA, TÜV, etc.) and ensure production area readiness.

▸ Ensure production records, equipment logs, and batch documentation are audit-ready at all times.

▸ Support CAPA activities by providing production data, root-cause input, and implementing corrective actions within the production area as directed by the Compliance Manager.

Continuous Improvement & Digital

▸ Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all production areas.

▸ Apply structured problem-solving techniques to address production challenges.

▸ Lead and implement waste reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements.

▸ Apply Lean Manufacturing tools and value stream mapping to identify and reduce waste.

▸ Support ERP system roll-out and other digital transformation initiatives.

People & Leadership

▸ Lead, motivate, and develop production supervisors and teams, fostering a culture of responsibility, collaboration, and high performance.

▸ Implement and optimise resource and people management systems.

Required Experience and Skills

▸ 8+ years of proven experience in senior production or operations management roles.

▸ Solid knowledge of Medical Devices manufacturing and MDE compliance (ISO 13485, GMP).

▸ Strong expertise in Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental compliance systems.

▸ Experience with the setup and launch of new manufacturing sites.

▸ Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

▸ Solid understanding of ERP systems and their implementation in manufacturing environments.

▸ Track record of leading and developing high-performing cross-functional teams.

▸ Effective communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

▸ Fluent in both English and Czech (essential).

Salary and Benefits

Salary: CZK 70,000 – 110,000 gross per month, depending on experience.
