The Project Manager is responsible for managing medium-scale projects that drive innovation and operational excellence within the insurance business across [region – e.g. EMEA / CZ & SK]. This role ensures effective project coordination, stakeholder alignment, and seamless delivery of solutions that support MetLife’s strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead virtual and matrixed project teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies, driving collaboration and delivery excellence
  • Create and actively manage project plans, ensuring milestones, timelines, and objectives are consistently met
  • Oversee end-to-end project coordination, including application portfolio activities and vendor collaboration
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, project risks, and issue resolution to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Develop strong relationships with internal clients, global teams, and external vendors to maintain alignment and engagement
  • Coordinate resources, build task forces, and assign responsibilities across teams to ensure efficient execution

Additional focus areas:

  • Facilitate project meetings, document progress, and drive follow-ups
  • Support portfolio prioritization, estimation, and resource planning together with Delivery Management
  • Identify process improvements and drive efficiency across project delivery

Required Qualifications

  • University degree (or equivalent) and proven experience in project coordination or project management, applying structured methodologies in practice
  • Experience working with project management tools and Agile frameworks (e.g. Jira, MS Project, Scrum) to plan, track, and deliver projects
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across different seniority levels
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in project management, preferably within financial services or insurance
  • Experience working in an international or matrix environment with cross-border teams
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery models and continuous improvement practices
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced environment
