What you’ll do

Youll contribute to a range of engineering projects across our platform, including:

• A conversational-bot platform built on a Node.js/Express backend in TypeScript with PostgreSQL, a layered architecture (Controller Service DAO Model), and a React-based frontend hosting a visual dialog builder.

• Various internal services and tools powering the Daktela ecosystem - Python with FastAPI on PostgreSQL, paired with React frontends.

• Our platform spans multiple backend services - integrations, data pipelines, analytics, customer-facing APIs - and theres room to get involved in other areas over time if thats where your interests lead.

Your responsibilities:

• Ship code and continually look for ways to speed up and simplify how we build features.

• Use AI tooling (Claude Code or Codex) as a daily part of development, testing, and review.

•  Develop and maintain TypeScript/Node.js and Python/FastAPI backends.

•  Identify bottlenecks across PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and WebSocket flows.

•  Work with Git, take part in code reviews and sprint planning.

•  Collaborate across teams in the organisation.

Your experience and skills

• Willingness to learn and a sense of ownership.

• Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development.

• Solid experience with at least one of Node.js/TypeScript or Python, and openness to working in the other.

• Comfortable with PostgreSQL and REST APIs; familiarity with WebSockets is a plus.

• Communicative English.

• Czech or Slovak at C2 level.
