You will lead a team focus in cost-optimized energy procurement, the identification of energy-saving potential, and the implementation of corresponding energy-saving measures in production and building facilities.
You will be responsible for achieving the agreed energy targets.
Your responsibility to ensure the implementation and development of energy management system ISO 50001 under consideration of relevant norms and laws.
You will develop alternative solutions for energy supply, considering the cost-optimized consumer structure and in line with the schedules for reducing emissions.
This includes:
- Company-wide energy strategy: Managing the energy supply with a focus on cost optimization, security of supply, and emissions reduction (Scope 1 & 2).
- Governance & Decision-Making Structures: Establishing clear guidelines, responsibilities, and escalation procedures for plants and functions.
- Transparency & Energy Management: Implementing an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001, including standardized energy data management and audit support.
- Cost and Efficiency Programs: Identifying, prioritizing, and implementing energy-saving opportunities in production, infrastructure, and maintenance, as well as integrating alternative energy systems.
- Market Monitoring & Empowerment: Monitoring the broader context of the energy sector and providing support for procurement, as well as communicating, training, and coordinating energy efficiency measures within the company.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- A degree in energy, environmental, or utility engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in energy management or technical leadership roles, as well as a focus on innovation.
- Certification as an energy auditor (m/f/d) or energy manager (m/f/d) is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of energy management, energy efficiency, energy procurement, and energy law.
- Experience with energy management systems (e.g., ISO 50001, DIN EN 16247).
- Knowledge of technical systems, building services engineering, industrial processes, or renewable energies.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with energy controlling tools.
