About the Role
Are you an experienced automotive engineer looking for a dynamic role where you can fully drive operational excellence directly on the shop floor without the burden of constant traveling? SEGULA Technologies is seeking an ambitious Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team dedicated to our automotive project in Frýdek-Místek.
In this full-time position, you will take full ownership of manufacturing processes and support our key automotive client locally, ensuring top-tier efficiency, process stability, and seamless daily production.
Your Responsibilities
As a core member of our engineering team on-site, you will analyze, optimize, and manage manufacturing processes directly in the production areas:
- Process Optimization: Monitor manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement structural changes to increase efficiency, optimize cycle times, and reduce waste.
- Local Launch & Trial Support: Support local equipment installation, production commissioning, and validation trials directly at the facility in Frýdek-Místek.
- Documentation & Quality: Prepare, update, and maintain crucial production documentation, including work instructions, PFMEAs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Problem Solving: Investigate process deviations and complex production issues using structured automotive tools (5 Why, Ishikawa, 8D).
- Lean Manufacturing: Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean, Kaizen, and 5S principles in close cooperation with cross-functional shop-floor teams
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years of proven professional experience as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer within the automotive industry (Tier 1 or OEM).
- Location & Focus: Based in or within commuting distance of Frýdek-Místek. This role is dedicated strictly to the local plant; there is zero requirement for international travel.
- Languages: Good command of English for professional communication and technical reporting within the global SEGULA network, alongside fluent Czech/Slovak for daily on-site coordination with production teams.
- Education: Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Nice to Have / Advantages:
- Practical knowledge of OEM manufacturing standards (such as Stellantis, JLR, VW, Volvo, Hyundai, etc.).
- Advanced experience with automotive quality tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP).
- Knowledge of CAD software and advanced MS Excel.
- Valid driving license.
