REGULATORY AFFAIRS TRAINEE

The Regulatory Affairs Trainee will act as a high-impact contributor while gaining hands-on experience with the EMEA Regulatory Affairs team in support of Hill’s Pet Nutrition growth objectives.

The role focuses on three core areas: 1) supporting EU regulatory initiatives, 2) enabling technology projects and content/artwork activities, and 3) facilitating market access and export operations to register products and expand the EMEA market for Hill’s. This position requires a growth-driven mindset and a strong, solutions-oriented approach to effectively support the department's strategic business objectives.

The position reports directly to the Associate Manager Regulatory Affairs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Enable Content, Artwork & Digital Asset Operations

  • Manage Digital Workflows: Support process efficiency by handling data input for the Content and Artworks Management Systems and maintaining accurate regulatory content.
  • Facilitate Global Consistency: Coordinate multi-language translations and corrections to ensure a unified and accurate brand voice across diverse markets.
  • Meticulously proofread packaging PDFs to ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with artwork procedures.

Contribute to EU Regulatory Strategy & Intelligence

  • Monitor & Assess: Track emerging EU regulatory trends concerning feed and feed ingredients, and assist in evaluating impact to Hill’s portfolio.
  • Build Strategic Insights: Research and maintain EU & country-specific intelligence files to help guide regional regulatory assessments and decision-making.
  • Draft & Proofread: Assist in developing the English master for technical label copy.

Facilitate EMEA Market Access & Export Compliance

  • Enable Product Expansion: Help ensure business growth by preparing and processing registration and export-relevant files.
  • Support regional product launches and registrations database by gathering required documentation.
  • Tracking and consolidating up to date registration requirements and legislations in EMEA relevant markets outside the EU.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor or master degree in a related field, such as scientific/technical background (biochemistry, biology, veterinary science, food science), languages, translation, or business administration.
  • Working experience in similar administrative, logistics, or regulatory positions is a plus.
