Are you an experienced accountant who enjoys taking ownership, ensuring accuracy, and continuously improving financial processes? We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in managing the accounting agenda for our legal entities. Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the full accounting agenda for assigned legal entities and accounting areas.
- Preparing monthly and year-end financial closings.
- Processing and reviewing invoices, journal entries, and other accounting transactions.
- Performing regular account reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
- Preparing financial statements and supporting internal reporting activities.
- Coordinating with external accounting firms and supporting external audits.
- Preparing reports for external stakeholders, including investor and statutory reporting.
- Monitoring changes in Czech accounting and tax legislation and implementing them in practice.
- Developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Participating in finance transformation projects, including ERP implementation, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Sharing your knowledge and supporting the development of junior colleagues when needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- Secondary or university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting.
- Solid experience with monthly and annual financial closings and audit preparation.
- Strong knowledge of Czech Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Good understanding of Czech tax regulations, particularly VAT and Corporate Income Tax.
- Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.
- Experience with accounting systems such as Odoo, Premiere, or similar ERP solutions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams.
- Czech at a native or fluent level, English at an active working level.
