Global Technical Support Specialist Senior

As a Global Technical Support Specialist II, you'll be a trusted technical expert supporting service teams and customers around the world. You'll solve complex technical challenges, share your expertise with colleagues, and help improve the serviceability and reliability of our cutting-edge scientific instruments.

What You'll Do

• Be the primary point of contact for technical inquiries from global service teams and customers through chat, phone, ticketing systems, and other support channels.
• Independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, identify faulty parts, and escalate only the most specialized cases when needed.
• Travel to customer sites to perform installations, repairs, testing, and other service activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the global service organization to solve technical challenges and share best practices.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of our knowledge base.
• Help improve the serviceability and reliability of both hardware and software by providing technical feedback and recommendations.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and on-the-job coaching.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of service training materials, documentation, and global support processes.

What You'll Bring

• Technical background – A degree in electrical, mechanical, or physical engineering.
• Electrical certification (formerly Decree 50/1978 Coll., now Gov. Decree 194/2022 Coll.) – If it’s expired, we’ll arrange training for you.
• English proficiency - you'll communicate with colleagues and customers around the world.
• Good PC skills and confidence working with technical software and documentation.
• Driver's license (Category B) and willingness to travel occasionally.
• Strong understanding of electrotechnical principles and experience working with technical equipment.
• Deeper knowledge of particle physics and an interest in expanding your technical expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of supported products or experience with similarly complex technical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Customer-focused communication - you can explain technical topics clearly while building trust and confidence.
• Collaborative mindset - you enjoy working across teams, sharing knowledge, and contributing to common goals.
• Curiosity and a continuous learning mindset with a drive to improve products, processes, and your own expertise.
• Positive attitude, resilience, and a genuine interest in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
