Senior / Medior ICT Project Manager

Freelance | Hybrid | CZK 7,000/MD

We are looking for an experienced ICT Project Manager to join the NGÚP – National Geoportal for Spatial Planning project.

This is a large-scale public sector digital transformation initiative focused on the development and operation of the Czech National Geoportal for Spatial Planning.

Start date: ASAP
Daily rate: Up to CZK 7,000/MD – fixed maximum rate
Working model: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office and 3 days remote

What You Will Do

Manage ICT projects end-to-end, from initiation through successful delivery
Take responsibility for project scope, schedule, budget, quality and deliverables
Prepare and maintain project plans, project documentation and regular reporting
Coordinate internal project teams, customers, stakeholders and external vendors
Manage project risks, issues, change requests, dependencies and escalations
Organize and facilitate project meetings, workshops and steering committees
Provide regular project updates to management and key stakeholders
Support the preparation of proposals and other project-related documentation
Ensure that projects are delivered in line with agreed objectives, timelines and quality standards.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 3–5 years of experience in ICT project management
• Proven experience managing ICT projects from initiation through delivery
• Ability to independently take ownership of projects and drive them forward
• Strong stakeholder, customer and vendor management skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to identify risks, resolve issues and manage escalations effectively
• Professional working proficiency in Czech and English
• Strong Advantage
• Experience delivering projects in the banking sector
• Experience with IT infrastructure implementation projects
• Experience in a large enterprise environment, particularly within banking, insurance, telecommunications or public administration

Nice to Have

• Experience delivering ICT projects for a public sector organization, government institution or local authority
• Experience with large-scale projects involving more than 1,000 end users
• Experience delivering at least two ICT projects as a Project Manager
• Project involvement of at least six months or 60 MDs per project
• Relevant project references are preferred but not mandatory. Strong candidates who do not meet every preferred requirement may still be considered.

Who Will Be Successful in This Role?
The role is suitable for an experienced Medior or Senior ICT Project Manager who is comfortable working independently, communicating with senior stakeholders and coordinating complex projects involving multiple teams and suppliers.
