Medical Lead – Central & Eastern Europe (CEE)
Rare Diseases | Hematology | Strategic Pre-Launch | Regional Role

Are you ready to lead one of the most significant rare disease launches in Central & Eastern Europe?

We're partnering with an innovative, patient-focused biopharmaceutical company to appoint a Medical Lead – CEE, responsible for shaping and executing medical strategy across the region during a pivotal period of growth. This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in high-impact pre-launch activities, with a major focus on an upcoming hematology launch that will transform the treatment landscape for patients with rare diseases.

This is more than a Medical Affairs position—it's an opportunity to influence strategy, build lasting scientific partnerships, and leave a genuine legacy in an organisation committed to changing patients' lives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the regional medical strategy for key rare disease assets, with a primary focus on an upcoming hematology launch.
  • Drive pre-launch readiness across CEE, ensuring markets are equipped with strong scientific and medical plans.
  • Build trusted relationships with leading Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and healthcare professionals across the region.
  • Partner closely with country medical teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver a coordinated and successful launch.
  • Generate and communicate scientific insights that shape strategy and support evidence generation.
  • Represent the company externally as a credible scientific expert at congresses, advisory boards, and medical meetings.
  • Collaborate with Market Access, Commercial, Clinical Development, and Regulatory teams to maximise launch success while maintaining the highest compliance standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Experience in hematology, with rare disease experience highly advantageous.
  • Proven involvement in pre-launch or launch activities, ideally across multiple countries or within a regional role.
  • Confidence engaging with senior KOLs and influencing through scientific expertise.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across diverse CEE markets.
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across the CEE region.

Why This Opportunity?

  • Lead a flagship launch with genuine strategic visibility and influence.
  • Join an organisation recognised for its commitment to innovation in rare diseases, where every decision has a direct impact on patients.
  • Work in a highly collaborative, science-led environment where Medical Affairs plays a central role in business strategy.
  • Enjoy broad regional exposure across Central & Eastern Europe with significant autonomy and ownership.
  • Partner with internationally recognised experts and help shape clinical practice in an area of high unmet need.
  • Be part of an expanding organisation investing heavily in its future pipeline and leadership talent.
  • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and excellent long-term career development opportunities.

If you're passionate about bringing innovative therapies to patients and want to be at the forefront of a landmark hematology launch, we'd love to hear from you.
